We are the Doerksen family.
We met in Ecuador on the mission field and fell in love with each others dreams for the nations. Selah Eden, our daughter, came into this world on March 5th, 2017, and our second, Gemma Joy on December 30th, 2018. Our hearts are for family and freedom. We desire to see revival take place in our home city of Boise, Idaho.
A funny glimpse into our story:
We grew up two hours apart in Oregon, but didn’t meet until we both ended up in Ecuador.
We met in Ecuador when I was 18 and got married a year later making me a whopping 19 yrs old. -Caitlyn
We got engaged 2 months after we started dating. 8 months of our relationship before marriage was long distance.
Brandon met most of my family for the first time on the day he purposed. I met most of his family on the day we got married.
We got pregnant with Selah 8 months into our marriage (on purpose). When I gave birth we had actually spent more time married with me pregnant than not.
We gave Selah her name believing she would be a pause and a rest to everyone she encounters. She fulfills this name well.
We gave Gemma her name believing that she would be a treasure and a light in this generation. She is a powerful leader, and warrior.
